fun!

Play is key to every child's learning, growth and development.
Social interaction

Through early social interactions, children develop important social skills and can learn from other children, and can develop more confidence and independence.

Kindergarden Ready

Building the structure of class time into your child schedule early gives them more confidence when they enter school.

Extra time

Playschool allows parents a few hours a week to focus on their careers, pursue their passions, or catch up on all of the items on their plate.

Registration

for 2024-2025 is now open!

Registration for the current school year is closed, but will be considered on a case-by-case basis according to availability. If interested in registering for the 2023-2024 school year, please email vicepresident@chestermereplayschool.com

How we help children flourish

Unique Opportunities

Six optional ice skating sessions for each class, one day a month, from October through to March. Skating time is always great fun and provides a terrific opportunity for parents to socialize along with the children.

Physical Activity

Each class includes time for physical play, and that either means games in the gym or outside.

Play Based Learning

Our programs are Play Based and Curriculum Guided. Play is the work of our children and is closely tied to the development of cognitive, socio-emotional and physical behaviours.

Working for Kids, Not for Profit

We are a parent-run, not-for-profit playschool which means our only paid staff are the teachers - school fees are completely used to cover operation costs of our program.

We also provide volunteer opportuntiies for parents that would like to be more involved and save money on registration fees.
